Body-Mind Centering® is an ongoing, experiential journey into the alive and changing territory of the body. The explorer is the mind – our thoughts, feelings, energy, soul, and spirit. Through this journey we are led to an understanding of how the mind is expressed through the body in movement. …

In BMC® we are the material, our bodies and minds the medium of our exploration… We are each the study, the student, the teacher.”

One to one Body-Mind Centering®

Based in Vienna • 75 MINUTES • €60

One to One Sessions focus on embodied wellbeing, and its physical, developmental and psycho-emotional foundations.

We will utilise touch and bodywork, movement analysis and repatterning, and verbal dialogue to bring awareness to how your mind is expressed through the body in movement; facilitating change and addressing ineffective and habitual psycho-physical patterning.

Sessions are rooted in your own journey, and guided by your curiosity. You will gain an understanding of your personal path of embodiment and how to support your health, learning and creativity.

About BMC®

Body-Mind Centering® is the pioneering work of movement educator and therapist Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. It is an experiential and encompassing approach drawing on detailed knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, psychology, embryology and infant development.

  • embodied: grounded in anatomical and physiological knowledge, and integrating all body systems

  • developmental: strengthening the perceptual-motor foundation established during the first year of life

  • embryological: rediscovering the origins of the body-mind process in supporting ease, fluidity and integration

  • relational: you are treated as a person, not a set of symptoms to fix

  • creative: the practice of Body-Mind Centering supports creative expression, somatic intelligence and embodied approaches to being in the world

Working with Sebastian is a wonderful and enlightening experience. His detailed knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, the body-mind is both fascinating and infectious. He has a direct and gentle way of sharing his insights. I come away from these explorations feeling lighter, energised and enthused.
